Who are the eCAI?

The eCAI is an association of business, services, business groups and individuals who are all interested in developing the eCommerce industry in Ireland to the highest standards worldwide.


At the eCAI we connect eCommerce experts, professionals and business together to share knowledge and information that will progress the industry as a whole.

Our members are wide ranging across the six pillars of eCommerce.We are dedicated to the promotion of standards and best practice of the betterment of business and consumers.

The eCAI welcomes the partnership of Associations who seek to better support their members in establishing and developing their businesses online. The eCAI vision is to promote the use of eCommerce, best practice and standards for the betterment of business and consumer alike and in doing so, we are inviting all business organisations to join us in this mission.

As an Association partner, you will be a key member on the eCAI board, actively participating in the management, promotion and shaping of eCAI policy. Your contribution is vital in ensuring your members views and voices are central to shaping the eCAI priorities.

As an Association partner, your members will receive free annual membership of the eCAI allowing them access to a broad range of e-commerce content, a host of experts and services plus networking events & opportunities.

eCAI Story

The eCAI is a fully voluntary, non - profit organisation run by a team of dedicated eCommerce professionals dedicated to the advancement of the industry in Ireland.

The eCAI was set up to fill the gap for eCommerce representation for all types of eCommerce companies and traders in Ireland. We set out to find out if there was a need and we were overwhelmed at the response.

To date the organisation is 100% voluntary. We have got to where we are with the good will of our dedicated volunteers and companies who have donated services along the way.

In 2019 the decision was made to fully monetise the Association to pay for full time staff and premises. The development of this unique Business Network Platform was central to the development strategy for the Association.

The eCAI will continue to operate as a non-profit independent body
chartered to advance eCommerce and grow our community.

Associate Members

The eCAI has teamed up with some of Irelands largest business organisations to speak with one unified voice on all matters eCommerce.

If you are a member of one of the following Associations you automatically get free membership of the eCAI.


Each Associate Member elects a representative to sit on the eCAI board to represent their members in policy and strategy decisions.

The board is advised by a Pillar Panel and the eCAI management team.

Independent and Fair

It is important your eCommerce Association is free and independent of influence. Although the eCAI seeks Pillar sponsorship to finance the daily management of the organisation, it is given freely by sponsors and without promise of influence.

The Pillar program is open to competition, meaning any company can challenge for the position.
